MEET OUR COACHES

Rick Brown - Camp Director and Coach

Brown has been in charge of summer youth development camps at every level for the past 20 years. He managed and coached USRowing Junior National Team camps for 10+ years from 2009-2021, much of the time in charge of the entire boys side (at that point they were run separately). The entire Paris Olympic Men's 4- and much of the Bronze Men's 8+ were alumni of Brown led summer development opportunities. He coached many of those athletes directly in the boats he took overseas when they were in high school. He is also the Executive Director at Sarasota Crew and is most proud of not only the athletes who have been developed in his systems but also the coaches who now span every level within the USA. These summer camps are a large part of his passion for the sport as the development he's able to help foster is unrivaled and very rewarding. Brown has coaching experience and connections across the country with youth and college levels and colleagues.
